The Republic of Ireland is located in Western Europe, just west of the United Kingdom, in the Atlantic Ocean. Known as the Emerald Isle for it’s lush green rolling hills, it is also famous for it’s 2000 mile rugged Atlantic Coastline known as the Wild Atlantic Way.

Ireland is famous for it’s folklore of leprechauns and pots of gold found at the end rainbows, plus St. Patrick who drove all the snakes on the island. (St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated in his honor). But there is so much more to this magical place than that!

It’s also a nation of storytellers who use writing and music to tell of their complex history and their struggles. Four Nobel Prize winners come from this great nation!
