PORTUGAL
Perched on the Western side of Europe, Portugal has quickly moved to the top of many people’s Bucket List. They dream about visiting Lisbon, the vibrant city of hills, exploring the castles in Sintra, tasting wine up in the Douro Valley and seeing tile-covered buildings everywhere.
But Portugal has SO much more to offer than just that.
It also showcases rugged cliffs with crashing waves, world-class surfing (second only to Hawaii), beautiful beaches, and amazing street art.
And so many colorful birds! I didn’t expect Portugal to become one of my favorite bird-watching places in the world.
I was thrilled to see my first Flamingo in the wild!
Portugal is also becoming an increasingly popular place for expats to move and settle, although not without its own challenges.
