Rocky craggy cliffs covered in ice and snow

ANTARCTICA

Antarctica is one of the most stunning and rewarding destinations we have ever been to. And it was our 7th continent!

Snow-covered glaciers reflect like a mirror in the calm waters of the Antarctic Peninsula. These peaceful conditions show the beautiful weather we experienced during our January cruise.

Antarctica has been at the top of my Bucket List for years, and after four unforgettable days cruising through the Antarctic Peninsula, I can honestly say it exceeded every expectation.

Bill and I visited on a 17-night scenic Antarctica cruise from Buenos Aires, watching glaciers, icebergs, whales, seals, and thousands of penguins from the ship while also exploring the Falkland Islands and crossing the legendary Drake Passage.

Massive snow covered glacial ice reflected in the waters of Antarctica.

Two icebergs float past our cruise ship in the antarctic waters.

If Antarctica is on your Bucket List, these first-hand guides will help you plan with confidence. You’ll find practical advice on choosing a scenic or expedition cruise, Antarctica cruise costs, the best time to visit, what to pack, crossing the Drake Passage, the wildlife we saw, and everything we learned aboard Sapphire Princess.
